Sony's recovery and a new PS3 model?

Last fiscal year, Sony announced that their profits dropped by a massive $1.69 billion, but soon after this announcement the company quickly stated that they expected profits to improve significantly. And they had a reason to be confident.

Recently Gamasutra released a report stating that analysts predict a profit increase of 500% or $3.37 billion. The report cites strong LCD HDTV sales, and up to 10 million PlayStation 3s shipped with increased demand.

A few hours after the article was released Sony contacted the group of analysts denying the 10 million consoles shipment numbers and stated that the company is looking into introducing a "model with a bigger hard disk.”

No further details have been released about the new model but this could end up being the rumored 80GB model.
